A bright and warm sunny morning kicking off the Easter weekend and marked the 79th Charlton park run. 154 runners and walkers embraced this special day with loads of park run tourists and first timers who chose Charlton as their ever park run venue. A great incentive for the runners/walkers as the lovely lady from The Old Cottage Coffee Shop Cafe donated a full basket of Easter eggs. Maybe this has inspired more PBs today! We were fortunate to have a number of pacers who made the run easier. Jen was the run director, and Sara took a dual role in giving out finish tokens and post event close down. I was the first timers welcome person. Lana shadowed me today as she wanted to take part in this role next time. The sun was still shining after the event and the smiles of the runners/walkers indicated that they were glad to take part with an energetic start of a Saturday morning!
