Uncovering local history at St Matthew's Church in Darley Abbey
Unearth and clean up memorial slates from the garden of rest
Location
Date and time
18:15 - 20:00Please note that this group run has been cancelled.
After our latest task at St Matthew's we're returning to help uncover more of the memorial slates in their Garden of Rest and clear some of the gravestones from overgrown grass and bushes.
Help us to make the Garden of Rest a more pleasant place for the parishioners that visit.
Please bring gardening gloves and wear clothes you don't mind getting mucky.
The group will be running to this task. Meet at Jury's Inn as usual (6.15pm) for a run to the church (6.30pm set off) which is 1.4 miles through Darley Park to meet with the church warden. After the session we'll run back to Jury's Inn, another 1.4 miles. We'll be back at Jury's Inn for 8pm prompt.
For anyone who wants to meet us at the church and not walk or run there, the address is: Church Lane, Darley Abbey DE22 1EF Please let us know if you will be meeting us at the church. There is parking around the residential streets surrounding the church for anyone driving there.

I'm not running, so will meet you guys at the church.
Listing this as a community mission as everyone is now meeting at the church.
I should be able to just add everyone that attends on the register so no need to sign up again to the community mission.
