The Tissington trail is an ex-rail line converted to traffic free shared cycle and footpath. From race HQ in Ashbourne, we are transported by coach to Parsley Hay, from where we run back to the start.

(ps I am already formulating plans to possibly stay overnight at the lovely YHA Ilam Hall the night before, including obligatory pasta party, and visit the New Bath Hotel Lido in Matlock Bath on the way home for a recovery swim)
