The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice see Met Office Warning for your area. The warning started yesterday, with today being at its peak, and gradually fades throughout the week, currently ending on Friday 16th December.
Due to the concerns around the snow settling or icing, there may be an increased risk of slips and falls while traveling to sessions, and while completing tasks, during this time. To mitigate against these risks I advise you to:
Ypu will need to check sessions listings or your local communications ( facebook or whatsapp) to be advised as to whether the session is going ahead today. - wrap up warm and bring additional layers - pay attention to the pavement and road surfaces and slow down while running, walking, and cycling ( see the Met Warning for guidance on cycling in snow/ice Inform people of these additional risks at the start of a session and that they should look out for icy patches on the ground -Inform people not to attend if they feel ill.
Details to follow! Bring a head torch and trowel if you have them!
