Tooting Community Fun DayBalham and Tooting Community Association have asked for help closing down their annual community fun day. This a project mainly run by the Al Risalah Education Trust and St. Augustine's Church in Broadwater Road. It aims to enable people to work collectively, support groups to promote themselves, listen and respond to local issues and is a collaboration of all faiths in Balham and Tooting. The Fun Day will be raising money for St. George's Children's Ward and normally gets 1 - 2,000 people throughout the day and have circa 96 stalls to take down.
This is a big task requiring strength and stamina. It's hard to find enough volunteers able to carry out this task, so support from Goodgym would be invaluable.
Your point of contact on the day will be Sue McKinney. If you ask for her when you get there she will direct you.
** The best place to meet is by the gates of the car park adjacent to St. Augustine's Church and the event is on Broadwater Road, Tooting**
