🌻**SATURDAY SESSION 10:30-11:30** - create pollinator garden at local nursery

👶 Eastbury Nursery & Pre-School has a fantastic garden that children love playing in and exploring. We will be creating a special pollinator area in the garden to attract bees and help children learn about important topics such as biodiversity.

NB - no children will be on site during our session.

🧤 What We’ll Do

• move planters from across the garden into one corner where the pollinator garden will be

• weed the planters and top up with compost

• plant out new pollinator flowers

No experience needed! All tools and guidance will be provided on the day.

🕕 Timings

10:30am - meet ust outside the main entrance of Eastbury Nursery & Pre-School

10:30 - 11:35 - introduction & briefing

10:35 - 11:25 - task time

11:25 - 11:30 – wrap-up and high fives

11:30am – finish (there will likely be an option to stay on and continue helping)

🌞 Why It Matters

The new pollinator garden will provide young children with an important opportunity to connect with nature by studying flowers and watching bees and other insects. They will also get to look after the flowers by watering and weeding them. These early experiences are very important in supporting children to grow up with a connection to nature.
