Run to support Fox Den Community Allotment

Maintaining the allotment in good condition ensures it's a great space for the local community to enjoy - many of whom don't have their own gardens or growing spaces.

Who this task will support
Fox Den Community Allotment
We support those most at-risk through targeted community projects, provision of general anti-poverty support such as community food provision, supporting access to education and employment, projects to improve the environment, and by developing a culture of volunteering in the community. The Fox Den Allotment is one of our greenspaces we manage with the local community.

Come along to help keep the allotment at its best!

Group run We will meet at The Kiosk on the Green at 5pm and jog/run to the task. It is 3km. After the task we will jog/run back to the Kiosk.

Community Mission If you are not running, but would like to join for the community mission, we will meet you at the allotment at 5:30pm. Address: Whitehill Allotment Society CB5 8LZ

We will join Abbey People to carry out general maintenance activities as well as weeding and watering plants. A representative from Abbey People will lead the session, explaining all activities and precautions.

All equipment will be provided, but please bring gloves if you have them and water. Wear appropriate clothing for the task and the weather.

We will take a steady no-drop jog/ run. This is a casual 3k not a training run. The route will go through Midsummer Common and along the river, then up onto Newmarket Road towards Cambridge United.
