Who this task will support
Coton Loves Pollinators
A volunteer led community group creating and connecting wildlife friendly spaces throughout Coton to create nature corridors and build community connections. We partner with local businesses, landowners, and conservation groups, and our projects span the village, from Coton Orchard and the primary school to verges, community spaces and the recreation ground.

New Task βœ…

We will join the volunteer group who are developing a new Pollinator Patch on the village allotments. There will be plenty of opportunities for digging, planting, and building.

Why we're getting involved πŸ’š

The aim is to create a practical space that combines pollinator habitat with food growing, including a simple rain harvesting structure to capture and store water for the site. We’re deliberately using readily available materials and straightforward designs so it can act as a demonstration project for others wanting to create attractive, manageable spaces that support wildlife, grow food and are largely self sufficient for watering.

Location πŸ“Œ

We'll meet at the allotment (What3Words: fancy.land.porch), which is located behind The Plough pub. See details above for the run to the task. Note: we will not be meeting at Parkside Pools this week

πŸ’› If it is your first time coming to GoodGym you are very welcome here - our friendly GoodGymers will be waiting to say hi!
