Twas the penultimate group run before Christmas past and 30 elves prepared to set off from the Glass Mills. Donned in their running gear and ready to run, 8KM to Seniors to spread joy and fun. Their task for the night was to decorate the halls, with tinsel and holly and a few baubles. The trees looked stunning with their twinkling lights, the elves had a blast singing and dancing to Christmas carols into the night. The elves rang their bells with mischief and glee happy to be of service ahead of the Christmas party.

Joining in the fun were first timers Ben Montegomery, Sudarshana Sinha, Emma Ouldred and Phillippa Quinn who were greeted with the warm Lewisham cheer. Welcome to you all and hope you enjoyed your first outing with us, hope to see you at the next session.

Phyllis, is extremely overwhelmed by you all and that you managed to complete all the decorations as she was worried it would take her all night to put up had you all not turned up. Cathy.

We enjoy elf-ing out Seniors

Thank you all you’ve done a marvellous job it makes me want to cry you guys are tremendous. Phyllis

We’re here to elf

Task completed we said our good byes and headed out the door, for those who are used to going to tasks at Seniors knew what lies in store. We headed up Montem Road towards Brockley view where we stopped at the top and took in the scenic view before setting off again towards Glass Mills. Along the way there was a pleasant surprise waiting outside her front door to cheer us on and wish us well was our very own coach Adele, unable to lead us today but I’m sure we were in her thoughts throughout the entire evening.

We didn’t put this elf on the shelf

Congratulations * James and his wife on the birth of their son * Florence on completing her 25th good deed * Sarah on completing her 15th good deed * Stephen Corry, Jacqueline and Victoria for representing Lewisham in MISSION IMPOSSIBLE * All who participated in races or volunteered at the weekend.

Reminders * 8th December GoodGym London Christmas party 2017 * 17th December Run Through Christmas Race, Greenwich Park * 19th December Good Gym Lewisham Christmas Social * As part of our participation in run up to Christmas there is a GoodGym Lewisham Strava Group

Brilliant run report Conroy, it makes a nice change reading someone else’s view of the evening! Thanks again for leading.
