Preparing Rocheford Grove for edible gardens

We've been invited back to help at Rocheford Grove in Hunslet. We will be laying geotextile and wheelbarrowing lots of woodchip around in preparation for the edible area to be planted up.
The task is scheduled for Nov 24th and volunteers from Hyde Park Source and the local areas will be working between 10am - 4pm at Rocheford Grove in Leeds LS10 2QG. For this community mission, GoodGym members can go for all or some of the day to help out.
There will be members from Hyde Park Source on site all day. They will tell us what to do. They will also have a first aid kit in case of any accidents. On arrival look out for Hyde Park Source members, who will be wearing reflective jackets.
If you are able to volunteer you should wear sensible clothes and footwear and bring some lunch if staying for the full day. There are local shops and toilets available. Hot drinks, tools and PPE will be available.

Though an opportunity, the majority of GG tasks are at the weekend or an evening, as that's when the majority of GoodGymmers are available and free (and keen) to help, listing of existing tasks which are organised by other groups with no real involvement of GoodGym or attendance by the task organiser, on the off chance of someone attending seem to be self defeating. Happy to book the day off and attend if the AA is?
Hi Tom - thank you for your message. These tasks have been requested by community groups and we do have some members from Leeds who like to attend during the day, as they are not available in the evening. If you would like to attend Hyde Park Source will be there and will run the session, with tools etc available. We are working on getting more 'traditional' group runs set up, and are aiming to have consistent sessions in the evening each week.
