Four hardy goodgymers took up the challenge of taking down the badly damaged marquee that we had put up a little while ago (sadly it had become damaged and was no longer usable).

There was Scottie ‘Russ’ Gee, Darren the Booty Inspector, Mel DJ-T and Ashey ‘Rich’ Ace. Each had a unique skill set that proved invaluable. Scottie was a dab hand with the fiddly fingers and the Russ rustle. Darren the... well we won’t go into that. DJ-T was the brains and laid down some sick beats. And Ace well what can I say.

After an hour the marquee was taken down. It was too wet to put the pieces away but it was all neatly categorised.

All that was left was to play a couple of rounds of the much loved children’s game Apple in the Tyre.

Finally for all you red onion lovers, we all know who you are:

“Place the onions and sugar in a saucepan, cover and cook over medium heat until soft, about 10 mins. Pour in the red wine vinegar and red wine, then simmer uncovered until the liquid has reduced and the mixture is sticky, about 10 mins more. Add the grenadine syrup and mix well. Leave to cool, then transfer to a sterilised jar and seal.”
