18:30 - 20:00We have jobs to do tonight to help the volunteers at Baron's Ponds keep the area open, safe and healthy.
A dedicated volunteer group has been set up to rescue the site which features a historic pond, originally owned by Baron Lionel de Rothschild before being sold to the nation in the 1920s. They track water evaporation issues, clear out silt, and work to improve depth retention so the pond can thrive as a community asset.
Please bring gloves if you have them. There are trip hazards and prickly brambles so long sleeves and trousers area advisable.
There is nowhere to store bags but there are loos at our start location. We have a back marker so nobody is ever left behind. If you would prefer to meet at the task location we will be at the space on Pope's Lane at 18:50.
