At our latest Group Run 15 of the bravest runners faced up with Storm Ciara and ran 4.5km to a last minute change of task.

Before the session we were treated to a quick visit from our lovely runner Becky B. and the newest (and youngest) member of our team, baby Isobel. We soon found out that Isobel has some strong lungs, but will she have strong running legs? We really hope so! Thanks for visiting Becky, can't wait to see more of you and Isobel when you're both up for it.

With gale force winds creating a real feel of minus 5 according to my weather app, this was perhaps, one of the chilliest days that GoodGym Liverpool has ever run. Although it takes more than sub zero winds to stop our John getting his legs out or our Sam's nonchalant attitude to base layers!

Having a last minute cancellation, I put the call out to some of our faves and luckily, the Greenhouse Project heeded the call and invited us to help with an indoor task - hurraaaah!

At the project we were met by Pat who put the team to work cleaning down walls, chairs and tables, that were covered in crayons and other marks artistically created by small hands and feet! Having previously painted the walls which we were now cleaning, everyone was very up for this maintenance task and put in plenty of elbow grease!

Shout out to Chris H. who sadly hasn't been able to attend for a while - it is lovely to have you back with the team!

Once the two classrooms at the Greenhouse Project were sparkling clean, we headed back into the cold and set off back to base, with folks dropping off in large numbers to head the quickest way home. The very bravest however, were treated to some sprinting drills in the park, raising their heart rates and thankfully, their body temperatures too.

Thanks so much for coming out and facing the storm with me folks - you're the best! Next week we're back in Kenny - hope to see you there - and don't forget to check out all of the Community Missions, Races and Socials we have coming up here too.

PS. Kudos to Jo for coming up with the title pun :)

PPS. Don't forget to sign up and pay your deposit for the Wild Welsh Weekender by WEDNESDAY to help us secure sole use of the hostel.
