Who this task will support
Balham Nursery School - Prepare for Forest School
This nursery school is a state nursery school for under 5s with a large garden to the rear. The top part of the garden is overgrown. The area needs to be cleared so we can then use it to do 'forest school' activities outside with the children. Many of the children don't have the opportunity to do such activities in their homes. We need lots of physical help and it would be great to have this done so the back of the garden can be used this summer. It needs to happen at a week-end when the children are not using the school.

Over the summer we visited a local nursery school to help sort the garden so it can used by the kids. We're heading back to work some more on the area so, excitingly, it can be turned into a mud club for the kids among other things! The area needs more clearing and gardening, so please bring a pair of gloves and a head torch if you have them. We'll follow this with a short, fun fitness session on the common.

Don't forget there are loos at the starting location but nowhere to store bags.

Remember that we run to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you can't run for more than 15mins without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us or see if there's a starter session coming up in your area.
