Helping out at the Food Bank Aid in North Finchley

Food Bank Aid
Food Bank Aid is a grassroots charity supporting North London Food Banks from Bushey to Tottenham and everywhere in-between. They operate in Barnet, Brent, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow, Herts and Islington which together, help around 14,000 vulnerable people including 4000 children every week. They are a community-led charity which supports all denominations and demographics.

Please note that this group run has been cancelled.

We will be sorting out the supermarket deliveries in crates so food can be delivered to local food banks and schools across North london.

If you are not keen on lifting weight, we have tasks light split rice and tea bags into smaller portions that you can do seated while having a cuppa!

The task will run between 3pm and 5.30pm. You are welcome to come for an hour or stay as long as you want. Do let me know how long you can stay for so we can better manage resources on the day.

If the event is full and you can’t register, put your name on the comment box and i will reach out to you. Last minute helpers are ALWAYS accepted! Do not hesitate to turn up!

MEETING POINT OPTIONS:

  • Meet us at the Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley sharp at 2.30pm to start running at 2.40pm. It’s a short 1.3 miles run.

  • Meet us at the Food Bank Aid at 3pm (we might get there just after 3pm!) . The address is ; Food Bank Aid 2b Chaplin Sq Gt North Leisure Park London N12 0GL

As a reference, it’s the leisure park over the North Circular where the Vue Cinema, Wagamamas, McDonald’s are!
