The Children's Allotment
A group of local parents and volunteers creating an inclusive outdoor education space for the local community. On the site of a disused old plant nursery in the East Ward Allotments on Cricket Road, they are bringing to life their vision for a new kind of 'Nursery' and children's allotment, trying out a new model that can provide affordable, cooperative childcare, outdoor learning and sustainable food-growing for children and families, all primarily outdoors year round.

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.

This task will only go ahead if the Lockdown restrictions have been lifted.

The Children's allotment have requested our help on a monthy basis in 2021.

Come along and help the progress at one of our favorite places.

We will meet by the Halal butchers on Cricket Road and then walk round the corner to the alloment together.

Tasks usually include pruning, woodchipping, gardening, clearing weeds etc.

Tools will be provided but please bring your own gardening gloves.

Sadly we are having to cancel this session due to the ongoing pandemic and the restrictions it brings.

Please keep an eye on the website though, this session will be rescheduled when we have more guidance from HQ.
