Last December The Conservation Volunteers and partners planted 28,000 native trees using the Miyawaki planting method; to establish a forest of thanks in appreciation of all the frontline workers during the pandemic. We're back here to help with some unwanted weeds that are impacting the establishment of the trees, namely wheat that was mistakenly bought in with the mulch used to help protect the trees.

You'll get an opportunity to learn about the Miyawaki Method and survey how the trees are establishing as well as get a bit of exercise meet new people and help the local environment.

Open to all ages and abilities, under 18's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
