A very muddy evening spent helping Chris at Hackney City Farm to clear rocks and bricks from the pig pen and surrounding fields.

Numbers dropped significantly but even in the rain, a committed four showed up to volunteer.

It was great to be introduced to some of the animals afterwards, including all the new additions to the farm - piglets, lambs, goat kids and Ash the donkey.

Note to self: Bring wellies next time!
