Bank holiday run was greeted by a humid one. Damp and sweaty, now lets get down to the nitty gritty.

9 showed up to boost in Brent, Over to Kilburn for some volunteering. It was laughs and fun and glory for our run. For Granville Community we tasked, not for gold or glory but because kindly they asked.

So with my regular gang, two newbies did hang; Emily and Joe raring to go! And with all the enthusiasm in the borough of Brent, we bounced from our base and off we went.

The run was tough, sweaty and long, but 2.5miles took us to our journeys destination. Weaving through Willesden, Brondsbury, Queens Park, even though it was a challenge it was also filled with laughs.

In no time at all; 25 minutes in fact, we arrived at the centre, our directions exact. Ready to throw the hard work down, for Leslie and team and for the community all around.

So to work we set and the timer was on, for 35minutes or until we were done. Weeding and chopping and pulling roots was in order and Blackberry bush tackling while Granvilles team looked on in wonder.

No job was too big or prickly or mean, this team is the best, the hardworking supreme. Tirelessly tasking to make the community better, even in sticky, muggy, humid weather.

Unfortunately the time did etch away and the team were reluctant to end the day. When I said 'that's it, time is up' they didn't want to stop their successful root plucks.

But stop they did coz we had to get back, onto the road our urban running track. Weaving and bobbing through Kilburn once more, even though our bodies and muscles were sore.

But this Brent team of bandits didn't complain, not once a whisper of negative or challenge or blame. Even when hills were clear in our path, they gritted their teeth and up them they charged.

In fantastic time, this team of mine, had flown like heroes all the way home! 4.5miles done, on this bank holiday run, completed an epic task and all without capes and masks! These superheroes are alive and kickin' in Brent, just doing our thing for the love of Goodgyming!

See you next time!!!!

DO GOOD. FEEL GOOD. INSPIRE
