Saturday 18th March, 10am-5pm

Come along and help us to transform our garden into a permaculture (edible and wildlife-friendly) growing space for our community through this permablitz (see below). We will be building raised beds and planting them with herbs, edible plants and flowers. We will also be sowing some seeds, making some bug hotels for wildlife and planting some potatoes into bags. You will be able to learn about how to develop healthy soil, about the plants we will be planting, how to plant potatoes, how to plant seeds. There will be plenty of activities suitable for people of all levels of physical ability and for children. If you are coming for the whole day we will be providing lunch. You need to let us know if you are coming so we know how many to make lunch for and can keep track of numbers. Please email info@permablitzlondon.com to let us know you're coming along. This day is being facilitated by Permablitz London in partnership with Kentish Town City Farm.

A permablitz involves a group of people meeting up for the day to: • Typically, create or develop a community or household edible, wildlife-friendly garden, according to a permaculture design. Permablitzes can also involve sustainable non-food growing projects. For example, eco-friendly builds such as making compost toilets or retro-fits of existing homes as well as growing fibre for clothes or planting for fuel. • Learn about permaculture and gardening through skills shares and mini-workshops • Build community networks • Share some good food • and have lots of fun Once you have attended three permablitzes you can apply to have one at your garden or growing space. You can find out more about permablitzes from www.permablitzlondon.com.
