Who this task will support

Effra Green Streets

Since the group was established, volunteers have transformed neglected spaces across the neighbourhood. We have created pavement gardens, planted daffodils in tree pits and planters on five streets, restored council flower beds that had fallen into neglect and established an Apple Orchard, Wildflower Garden, Woodland Garden and Rain Garden on the Brockwell Park Estate. Each project has helped increase biodiversity while making local streets more attractive and welcoming.

A brand new task for the GG Lambeth Community twice a week!

Good gym volunteers will join local volunteers on the session. Tasks will vary dependent on the number and physicality of the volunteers. Tools and gloves provided. We provide a full risk assessment which can be emailed in advance. There will also be a First Aider on site.

Tasks include:

Chipping old shrubs. Weeding. Digging rain garden. Building compost bays. Collecting seeds. Digging out tree and shrub stumps. And much more. Tasks depend on number and physicality of the volunteers.
