Peace Doves is a mass participation large-scale art installation, created by renowned sculptor and artist Peter Walker. It features around 8,000 paper doves suspended on ribbon above the nave of the Cathedral, accompanied by a soundscape from composer David Harper.

Schools in Derby and Derbyshire, community groups, wellbeing groups and the general public, have been invited to decorate the doves that form the artwork with messages of peace, love and hope, creating a unique piece that reflects the thoughts and feelings of Derby citizens, from all faiths, ages and backgrounds.

We'll be welcoming visitors to Derby Cathedral to view the Peace Doves installation. The installation will be open from week commencing 25th April to week commencing 6th June.

Please complete a volunteer form and the Derby Cathedral team will be in touch with details of a session to match your availability: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/N7WMDS7
