Do you need to get your documents checked by GoodGym for your DBS check to go on Missions or be paired with a Coach? If so, come along to Mary Ward Centre cafe in Holborn and meet Beth from GoodGym who can get this sorted for you. Checking your documents only take 5 minutes and Beth's pretty flexible about location so if there's somewhere nearby that works better for you just let us know. Please sign up by Wednesday 26th at 5pm so we can let Beth know who to expect. If you don't sign up, we can't guarantee there will be someone from GoodGym available to check your documents.

What documents can I bring?

In order to get Mission verified or to get paired to run to an older person each week, you need an enhanced DBS check with GoodGym. We need to see three documents to get your DBS check underway and the easiest combination is: - valid passport - valid driving licence photocard - proof of current address i.e. bank statement or bank account opening letter (dated within last 3 months)/ utility bill (last 3 months)/ council tax bill (last 12 months)

What if I don't have these documents?

There are lots of other documents you can show us if you don't have these. Have a look on the DBS website for the full list of document combinations. Get in touch with coachteam@goodgym.org if you're not sure on what you can provide. If all of your bills and statements are online, you'll need to contact your bank or utility provider to request a copy paper statement or bill to be sent to your home address (unfortunately DBS has confirmed we can't accept internet printouts). These can usually be sent to you within 7-10 days but best to check with your bank or provider.

Can't make it to this event?

Look out for other DBS checking opportunities on our Events page. You can also come along to any of our group runs to get your documents checked by a GoodGym Trainer or Coach Runner Rep. You don't have to stay for the run if you can't fit it in - either arrive a little bit earlier at the start location (6.40pm) or meet the group after the run at the start location (8.30pm). We can also check your documents at our central office in Somerset House on the Strand. We're usually around Monday - Friday 09.30 - 18.00. Email coachteam@goodgym.org if you would like to book in a time to show us your documents.

What to look out for

Age Restriction

GoodGym welcomes anyone aged 18 or over. If you are under 18 then you will be unable to participate in any GoodGym activity

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety when running and at a task.

This event is organised by your Taskforce, a group of experienced GoodGym members in your area, they are not responsible for your safety. You should feel confident to participate in the event as it is described and you do so at your own risk.
