Create an edible fruit forrest
Give the community somewhere to grow fruit and enjoy nature

Date and time
10:00 - 12:00We have been asked to help out a group for residents who are working with LCC to develop a piece of waste ground into an edible fruit forest garden, similar to Bedford Fields in Kirkstall.
This fun and active task will involve cutting back, raking overgrown grass , nettles and removing any rubbish from underneath. We will really help to make a difference in the community!
Please bring gardening gloves if you have them.
The land that is being converted into the fruit forest is between South Parkway and St James's Approach with access via a ginnel. The closest postcode is LS14 6HA. The ginnel runs up the side of 263 south Parkway.
There may not be a GoodGym leader at this task - but it is being organised by a group from Leeds City Council. There will be an LCC officer on site - Marie Pierre Dupont and so the group is covered by their insurance. They also have a first aider and an H&S trainer on site and all risk assessments have been carried out.
How are you getting there?
