Construct a teepee shelter, and reduce size of wood chip area in School21's playground.
Our work will create a more enjoyable and organised space for the children's outdoor play activities, and provide them with a shelter for respite during the summer months.

School21We have been approached by School21 in Stratford to assist them with improving their school playground area, something that sounded interesting, fun, a bit different to what we usually do, and clearly beneficial to the school and their pupils.
The main tasks that have been identified are: 1) Construction of a teepee shelter in their designated reading area. 2) Reduction in the size of their wood chip area to create space for a running path.
There may be other smaller tasks to be completed once we're there, but this will be our main focus.
As past experience has shown that trying to fit any sort of "construction tasks" into our usual Tuesday evening one hour slot proves largely ineffective, we've agreed with School21 to visit them on the morning of Sunday 19th April to get the tasks completed, and have nominally indicated we could stay for up to 3 hours if required (from 1100 to 1400 hours).
Even if you can't stay for the whole time, it would be great to get a good attendance for this particular task, especially as it'll be a first time visit for us to the School, and we were referred to them by one of our other beneficiaries, and it sounds like it could be a different type of challenge to apply our hands and brains to...and building stuff is always so very satisfying...
