2 goodgymers gave a hand to the therapists painting the stroke gym to make it a nice, more relaxing space to do rehab. We spent our time cutting in and priming one of the long corridors.

The babybank team put out a call for assistance ahead of schedule to help deal with the volume of donations.
Cue the Goodgym family assembling from all directions and in just about all possible method - walk, ride, bus, run, in pretty tropical weather.
As always Adam had things set up and waiting for us - 5 sizeable crates this time, rather than a few bags. Whatever the amount, it all gets sorted out while still chatting & socialising all the way through. And with the numbers assembled this evening, it didn't even take an hour!
Leaving enough time to pop down to the local 'spoon to continue the socialising!
P.S.... the team behind the scenes sent their thanks having seen the empty crates and bags full of sorted items

OK, there might have been a little bit of literary freedom there... we didn't actually go down any driveways, but went past loads of them which is almost the same!
Unfortunately a few others could not make it in the end, so it was just the lovely Ambra and me setting off on a run, armed with litter pickers & bags, 'just in case'. Ofcourse we came across litter, sadly, so 2 bags were dropped at one of our usual points at the Green Man roundabout.
Making use of the improved weather we set off to dip into Wanstead Park to check up on the bluebells, but sadly we were too late - April seems to be the best time.
We did have a nice surprise just a little further up in the park though.... just as Ambra was explaining her surprise of coming across a cow in the park, we turned a corner and saw cows! They seem to be a rugged breed used to manage vegetation.
Currently next session is in 3 weeks, skipping Bank Holiday Monday to pop down to the babybank on 3/6.

The evening started out nice, but there was a hint of something in the air as we gathered at base. Ambra confirmed the suspicion, her weather app predicted a chance of rain at 8ish...
So we got going with the aim to be back by 8.
With the light lasting longer, Leyton Flats was now an option for a plogging session. Pleasantly surprised we didnt fill more than a bag between the 5 of us. Sadly the bags did end up filling up once we crossed through the Green Man roundabout, right on schedule to drop the collected litter at the council bins we use more often as drop-off point.
James, Elegia & Linda took the short route back, while i kept Ambra company on a longer scenic route, arriving at base not long after the others.
Job done, right on time, because on the way home it started raining, just as Ambra predicted!

Nice session. ❤️ The rain hit while I was on the tube going home and stopped just as I started the walk home from the station. Result!
