Every 25 January, we celebrate Scotland's most beloved poet Robert Burns - Rabbie Burns - he's the man who wrote Auld Lang Syne. This year marks the 264th anniversary of his birth.

We've been asked to help out with the annual William Hobbayne Centre Burns Night celebration in Hanwell. It's an evening that promises to be loads of fun, with traditional dancing, live music and a Burns supper (more on that below). If you've never heard the Address to a Haggis, you're in for a treat!

GoodGym volunteers are needed to help out with kitchen duties, serving food/waiting on tables and cleaning up afterwards. If you fancy adding a nod to Scotland in what you wear, that'd be most appropriate! And all volunteers will be offered a complimentary traditional Burns supper - haggis, neeps and tatties (turnips and potatoes).

The task is scheduled for three hours in total, 7.30pm-10.30pm, but if you would like to come for only an hour or so, that's absolutely fine - just tell us what times you can make in the comments below.

This is an important annual get together for the local community in Hanwell and, by helping out, you'll make it a wonderful night for all - come and join in!
