Recruited in to help Abbey Gardens yesterday, we had a crack team of six getting stuck in.

Alice was there to guide us, leading by example and rolling up her sleeves. We removed some incredibly well adapted weeds, with a sturdy membrane and stones above you'd think that might deter these guys. No. They pierced through the sheet and then crept through the stones towards the light, hats off to those unwanted plants! Some dead hedging was also done, stacking up loads of dry twigs and leaves in the hope that some insects call it home, or maybe they're flush, in which case a second home.

After some good conversation and work we liberally picked berries and figs, then trotted back. Not before completing a leg session to give you guys that little dose of training you know you wanted.

Next week we head to Greening Stratford, they've specifically timed a delivery of new plants for our arrival, as we're going to help dig them in - sign up here

Till then,

B
