Tonight was our last Belle Isle task for the season, with the nights getting darker it was time to sow our last seeds. We spent the evening doing final ground prep, and dropped wildflower seed - a nice way to end our time there (we'll be back helping the park next year!). A nice evening followed by cider and pizza at the pub!

4 goodgymers litter picked St Thomas area and headed up to the fish and chip shop for tea. We settled in to watch DIY SOS and the good gym volunteers Craig and Lucy were spotted, with a speaking part, but Lawrence was unfortunately not seen.

Today the GoodGym 6 we're back at Belle Isle Park - there after a shirt notice task change - to make even more steps in creating a new wildflower area. We cleared the top layer of grass and ensured the good soil remained, very nearly ready to plant some seeds.
A very pleasant evening, a bright moon, a flock of geese flying in their V formation and spying some bats all made for a fascinating night.

One Goodgymer faced the mozzies at Belle Isle Park on Tuesday evening to continue the work to rewild the local park. This time the mozzie's were at bay and lots of roots were pulled to ensure the diversity of wildflowers next year.

Today we were with St Lawrence Church, lending a hand with their fundraising fete. We helped set up the day, ensuring stall-holders had tables, chairs and covers, Set up the BBQ for food and made sure all had refreshments throughout the day. A very successful day, ended with help to clear and packdown. £1333 raised for the new heaters, exceeding expecations!

Tonight 5 GoodGymers were living the park life dream, helping clear nettles, brambles and weeds to make space for a wildflower area.
Not to be deterred by mosquito attacks, we all sprayed up and double layered and survived generally un-bitten! Even if some of us resembled crime-scene cleaners!
