For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
During the summer time the plant life needs a bit of extra TLC. This weekly Wednesday task will ensure the weeding and watering of an important area in the community.
Why not sign up to all the weekly sessions or just join as many as you can. We hope to have a Goodgym Taskforce member on site but otherwise Danielle or a member of her team from New Malden Town Centre Partnership will be on hand with instructions.
As with any outdoor task there are some risks. Basically we need to water and weed the plant beds whilst being careful of the hose pipe which is a trip hazard to yourself and the public.
You should ensure you follow any instructions given - particularly given the biodiversity in the area. Some of the plants look like weeds because they have been chosen specifically to attract pollinating insects. Always check if unsure as not all weeds are to be removed. One persons weed is another persons flowers :).
Bring gardening gloves if you can and come prepared for a change in weather. Long sleeves and trousers might be handy if you are prone to biting insects.
We provide a activities and events to the local community, such as crafts, performances, exercise and support for local businesses close by.

This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
This session is organised by your Taskforce, a group of experienced GoodGym members in your area. They are not responsible for your safety. You should feel confident to participate in the session as it is described and you do so at your own risk.
