About this session

Welcome to GoodGym Leicester! We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects in our area.

The Task:

We'll be running to deliver 2020 fundraising event booklets on behalf of the LOROS Hospice.

The Run/walk:

GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities and it is often possible to walk to the task if you would prefer. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is.

What to look out for

This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Sarah by email at sarahhorner@goodgym.org.

Options are available to run between 4km and 6km in total.

Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk. Participants accept full responsibility for items stored at The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre , and The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre and GoodGym will not be held liable for any losses or damages

Group run cancellation Following extensive research, consultation with our trustees and work on how GoodGym as a community can play a positive role during the Coronavirus outbreak we have reached the conclusion to make extensive changes to our operations. **All group runs will stop for the foreseeable future** This decision has been made as these are the events at which most people gather and at which we are most at risk of spreading infection.
