Join the run with Caroline Helder
Easy pace, nobody left behind. We won't be running back as we have a social after the task. Toilets are available.
We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle
Note that the session starts at 7pm. The listing shows 6.30pm as this is the meeting time if you are joining the group walk/run beforehand (further details below). You are welcome to add a walk/run/cycle from any location and invite others to join you - there's an option under 'Getting There' so feel free to use it.
We have two simultaneous tasks for our group session tonight, so will be splitting the team between the 2 locations at Abbey Mills and next to South Wimbledon tube station - if you have a preference email merton@goodgym.org or keep an eye out for the poll on the GoodGym Merton Whatsapp group.
Task 1: Abbey Mills – Revive Wandle Roots (best for runners/walkers)
We’ll be helping the Revive Wandle Roots team organise their creative space and prepare furniture for upcycling. Jobs are likely to include sanding down furniture and prepping/priming (painting) items and organising and sorting the creative workspace.
Task 2: Little ARK – Makerspace Setup (best for cyclists or lighter jobs)
We’ll be helping Syebvonne settle into Little ARK's brand-new maker space following a recent move. Unboxing supplies and creative tools, moving items and equipment into position and sorting things as well as setting up the space.
Afterwards we have our monthly social at the William Morris pub over at Abbey Mills - all are welcome.
GROUP WALK/RUN DETAILS: meeting point at 6.30pm is outside The Leather Bottle, 277 Kingston Road, London SW19 3NW and the distance will be 2-3km. Please sign up to indicate you will be joining this so we know who to expect. There won't be a walk/run back as it's our monthly social afterwards, so please join us for that if you can.
