For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
The Friends of Watermans Park have staged free-to-attend Summer Bandstands for the last 2 years. They need help us to make this year's even better so that as many local people as possible can be included in the fun and culture.
The idea is that free to attend sessions like these in Brentford designed for the whole family will create strong positive community goodwill - and you can be part of it by helping to set up!
There’ll be music between 4pm and 6pm but they'll need help from GoodGym setting up from 2:30pm and taking down between 6pm and 6:30pm.
The Bandstands will take place at the performance area in Watermans Park in Brentford near the western entrance. There will be some equipment (canopy, deckchairs, bunting and etc) at the nearby Watermans Park building (next to the now closed Arts Centre) to be brought over to the park.
Phillip will be your point of contact on the days (07743 547262).
The Friends of Watermans Park's principal purpose is to help protect, conserve and enhance Watermans Park, its environs and access to the River Thames for the enjoyment of local residents and visitors. The local residents who have formed the Friends Group envisage a vibrant community amenity which can host community events as well as an attractive recreational area by the River Thames for all to enjoy.
