About this session

Get ready for a full body workout- it's time to do some green community action in this delightfully hilly neighborhood. We will join local community volunteers of the Round Hill Society ready with choppers, secateurs, weed scrapers, paint brushers and rollers provided by the Tidy Up Team.

โ“ What is the Task?

We will help with:

  • cutting back overhanging greenery;
  • Scraping weeds from pavements;
  • Weeding;
  • anti-tagging (paint) action;
  • Having Good time together ๐Ÿ˜Š.

๐Ÿ“ When and Where?

  • If running as a group, meet at 6:00pm @ Queen's Victoria Statue (Victoria Gardens), in Brighton to leave soon after and no later than 6:15pm;
  • If late, you can meet us at the task. The local residents will begin volunteering from 6pm @ the top of Cats Creep (junction between Wakefield Road, Richmond Road and Prince Crescent)

๐Ÿงค Anything Else I Need to Know?

  • Bring your garden gloves;
  • Head Torches!
  • Don't wear your perfect outfit (if painting);
  • If late/can't find us, contact the Area Activator or the Task Force task lead via our WhatsApp group.

Happy GoodGym-ing!

What to look out for

This is a GoodGym group run, with the option of walking too. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run or walk to the task together. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator STEFANIA ROSSO (she/her) by email at stefania@goodgym.org.

Options are available to run between 2km and 4km in total.

Remember that we will be running or walking to and from the task, so you'll only be running or walking for half this distance in one go.
