For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
This is our monthly session helping Jason, the Head Gardener, to redevelop the grounds at the Hospice. There's plenty to be done, so come along and get your green fingered fix! 🌳🌲
Tasks vary each time, ranging from weeding, cutting back and planting. It's amazing to see how much of a difference we make on each visit.
Please bring gardening gloves if you have them 🧤. There are spares available if not.
The Hospice cafeteria has free tea and coffee which we can enjoy before or afterwards. They also do lunch - salads and hot meals - for just £5.50 if you want to stay for some food served from about 12.45; please pre-order at the servery and pay at the reception before the task.
📍 When and where
Meet at 11am in the Hospice cafeteria - go into the building and the lovely team at the reception desk will point you in the right direction.
We'll finish at 12.30pm but it's fine to leave early if you don't want to commit to the full time.
There may not be a GoodGym Bexley leader at this task, but Jason, the head gardener, and other GoodGymers will make you feel very welcome. Perhaps one of you can write short report and add photos of the task via the 'Mission Accomplished' email that will land in your inbox later in the day.
Bad weather
This task is weather-dependent — we’ll update you by email and on the task listing if Jason calls it off.
