An excellent turnout of children and parents made for a fantastic start to Sunday morning. Although it was warm, the welcome cloud cover kept the conditions comfortable.

Karen and Wayne were on marshal duty, proudly wearing their GoodGym T-shirts, with invaluable help from Karen’s friend Steve, who was volunteering for the fourth time. We really must get him signed up to GoodGym!

It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning, with plenty of cheerful “Thank you, Marshal!” from grateful parents, and lots of smiles, waves and high-fives from the children. Seeing everyone having such a great time made the early start more than worthwhile.

Another successful event, and a lovely reminder of how a small amount of volunteering can make a big difference to the local community.
