Mrs M was super organised and had her list ready when I gave her call in the morning to find out what she wanted from Waitrose. We agreed a plan and I was able to head off on one of my new favourite routes via Regents Canal and Regents Park down to Kings Cross. After a great 10km in the sunshine there I stumbled upon the fanciest Waitrose ever. The new one in Coal Drops Yard is mad posh! I could have stayed in there for hours looking at all the fancy wines, cheeses and products I couldn't even name. Unfortunately whilst they could have met any dinner party need, they were missing a few bits off Mrs M's list. So off I went into the deserted Kings Cross Station to a little Waitrose. It felt very surreal as the concourse was totally empty. Mrs M asked me to give her ring before heading to her house so she could write GoodGym a cheque for the right amount. I felt very grateful to find a postcard with the cheque with a thank you and well wishes, which brought home how thankful she was for the support she has received from GoodGym. A very tough 4km back home all the way up York Way and Holloway Road, but was delighted to bump into a colleague on route.
