We were back at the Definitely Real Build site clearing a large wood pile to make space for the Green Trail project launch event next week.

After a run to Arbury from town we had a warm welcome onto site, serenaded by 2 very tuneful dogs. We soon got stuck in with Beth and I sorting and shifting the wood, and Scott sawing larger pieces down to size. It was a warm one, and after a pretty sweaty hour, we had the wood store full.

Sawing techniques were sometimes questionable, but it got the job done and we all left unharmed (largely thanks to Scott's inherent carpentry expertise). We can't guarantee the same for a spider and slug who we found having a standoff on one of the logs.

The task prompted us to reminisce about the heady days of school woodwork classes, carefully (yet badly) crafting bird boxes.

As any good session should, we ended with more fuss of adorable dogs before running back to town.

We'll be back for more with Sin Cru next month 🙌

SIN Cru
Championing greatness in artists for flourishing futures

We are an arts organisation based in Hip Hop Culture. SIN stands for Strength In Numbers, and in our 26 years of activity we have always believed that people are better working together, communities are happier united, and artists are stronger with support from fellow artists with a shared passion. SIN Cru strives to nurture communities by empowering artists. We actively work to break down barriers by promising to straddle cultural divisions and offer services that are accessible and engaging for a wide range of participants and audiences. We provide opportunities for children and their families, the local community, young people, emerging and professional artists, to access activity drawn from the culture of Hip Hop, and complementary practises for greater overall wellbeing, embracing a creative approach to life.
