Yesterday I met with Sarah in Islington to assist Mrs M with some gardening! Despite high winds and the occasional fateful rain cloud, the sun kept shining and was the perfect day to complete a mission!

We met Mrs M, who very kindly greeted us and explained the task at hand. Mrs M has a spot of trouble this time of year, her front garden thrived during the summer heat and has grown wildly in all directions! In the past, Mrs M has thrown on her gardening gloves to tackle the unruly foliage herself. Mrs M has found the task increasingly difficult in recent years, and the task is unsafe for her to tackle alone. After a complaint from a neighbour, she decided enough was enough and enlisted the help of our fellow GoodGymmers!

We were the second group of GoodGymmers to assist Mrs M. With the back garden now back under control, our task was to tighten our laces, roll up our sleeves and make the front garden something for Mrs M to be proud of! Armed with some shears, several bags and a fierce determination, Sarah & I spent just over an hour weeding, chopping back foliage and bagging it all up for collection.

After a brief chat and an impromtu inspection from Mrs M's curious tabby cat, they had a front garden that was safe and tidy, and couldn't be happier!
