Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Angela Man
My home parkrun - Sloughbottom - was experiencing a Norfolk Gazelles RC takeover this week, so I thought I would unleash the GoodGym effect on off roady, undulating, muddy Colney Lane parkrun this week. Spread the GoodGym love!
It was a beautiful, late Winter's morning with quite a bite to it which meant multiple layers were absolutely required. Today was also a big milestone for a couple of my local running friends, Jo and Frank, who were making their 250th parkrun appearance. They were celebrating in style with cake, biscuits and CHEESE, yum! :0p
My task today was timekeeping - the role that gives me the heebie-jeebies, but I can report back with perfect timing this week with no missed "let's-all-race-sprint-to-the-finish-together" runners. Aidan was first home and he promptly donned a volunteer vest to help with handing out the finish tokens, now that's multi-tasking!
268 runners through safely, noting quite a few canine finishers this week too, and the parkrun magic was done for another week! :0)
