GoodGym had an excellent afternoon with the brilliant people from Cycling Without Age, The You Trust, and SPARKS Community Space, assisting with the challenge of completing the Pride of Portsmouth Lion Trail in just 100 minutes!

Split into three teams, each tasked with tracking down a specific series of Lions, we raced across all parts of the city determined to be victorious!

I had the pleasure of joining Floyd and Emily. After they picked me up on a trishaw from The Hard, I had to jump off and whizz around Portsmouth Historic Dockyard to collect two Lions there before rejoining the chariot - much to the agony of Floyd's legs i'm sure!

Unfortunately, the traffic lights were against us, meaning Floyd had to bring us back up to speed from a standing start at every junction! He did an incredible job on the frantic streets of Portsmouth, while Emily took the lead on navigational duties, successfully guiding us between Lions and capturing the essential snaps needed for success.

With mere minutes to spare, WE DID IT! The three teams successfully saw all 46 Lions in 100 minutes. Naturally we took this as a valid reason to celebrate, gathering for much deserved coffee and cake, whilst listening to interesting stories about how the Lion Trail came about, and debating our favorite Lions and artists.

A huge well done to everyone involved in the challenge, and also a massive thank you to everyone involved in delivering the Portsmouth Lion trail to the people of Portsmouth and beyond. What a beautiful city.
