This morning 3 GoodGymer's cycled to the Green Hearts Allotment to help Lucy and Diem clear ground and pull up grasses to get it ready for planting.

Despite some rain we managed to achieve a fair amount. There were a couple of very young walnut tree saplings which were put into pots to be grown on.

Diem kindly provided delicious cake and coffee for us afterwards, as we took shelter from a downpour at the end of the task.

This task supported

Green Hearts was set up by residents in Mile Cross looking to connect with and take action for nature in the community, by creating green corridors, improving biodiversity, growing food to share and turning disused spaces into community gardens.
