Just a quartet of us this week at Abbey Gardens, we hopped on over and caught up on weekend exploits. Luckily no clambering over fences required this week as the gardens were open and Xuan was there to virtually lead us.
Our job was to hack back the unruly grasses and climbers that were encroaching on the plants in the stone beds. Using hands, forks and trowels we made a respectable dent for four people, but we all agreed this job needed more firepower and time. I'm sure it will get gradually done in the weeks to come.
Just awaiting confirmation from Up Garden for next week. Look forward to spotting some of you at The Night of The 10k PB's on Saturday.
Till then,

The allotments are a focal point for the community, so our help is needed to prepare for their next open day, and to encourage plotholders to maintain the communal space.
