Sunday 7th December
Report written by Wilson
Despite the relentless rain, our team brought festive cheer to the Solent Mind Elf Run, supporting a fantastic cause for mental health. Helen and Wilson kept runners on track as route marshals, while Steph greeted and assisted participants at the start. We jingled bells, wore elf hats, and cheered runners around the course— soaked but smiling. The Grinch led the way and we managed to get a photo with him before he set off. Wilson helped pack down at the end. A wet and wonderful morning for a great charity!
We (Solent Mind) are looking to run an event to help people do something for their own mental health, and the opportunity to help others across our community too. We are struggling to find volunteers to help make this event happen, there are lots of times and role available. The run takes places Sunday 7th December at 11am and we are in need of some support to give out fancy dress around the route, help cheer runners on and keep them on track, and organise our event village including supporting Father Christmas, or the Grinch. https://www.solentmind.org.uk/news-events/events/mental-elf-2025/
