Yesterday, Dan and Emma and I went to Surrey Docks Farm to help out. Kate from the farm met us at the gates and quickly put us to work. Our task was to brush away oil soil from lots of plant pots and then tidy them away, ready for spring next year. We worked through the pile and managed to finish all of it. We had a brief visit from some ferrets who were being walk, and enjoyed exploring our empty pots. Also collected all the snails that were inside the pots and fed them to the ducks.
We finished with a tour of the farm, visiting all the animals, since it was Dan's first time!
Surrey Docks Farm is run by a charity and provides education for school children, young people and adults with learning difficulties. Our work helps with essential maintenance and helps them keep the farm operating.
