A strong woman looks a challenge in the eye and gives it a wink

Last night at around 6pm the heavens opened and the rain came down heavy! It had been a glorious sunny day until now! The messages started coming in "its too wet for tonight, I'll give it a miss". We were down to three of us - Anne , Katie and myself. Even though it was tempting to stay in the warmth and dry of out houses, it was Anne who told us to be good and to go out and do some good for GoodGym.

Once arrived in the car park it was like Anne had pulled the sun out from behind the clouds as she drove down the entrance to the RSPCA and the evening was once again blue skies and sunshine!

RSPCA

Our task tonight was in the dog compound, we were joined by my two scruffs of Bodhi and Indy. The were beyond excited as soon as we entered the dog compound, it was like a dog play park, full of toys and play equipment to climb. While they got busy playing, the real workers got to work and decided to tackle one side of the fence. Brambles and nettles didn't stop us! 45 mins later the slide was cleared and tidied away. Having to drag the dogs out of the park, they were having way too much fun! It was a job done!

Next week

We will be meeting for a social litter pick. Meet at the Leisure centre.
