Nick and Gosia met in Camden today to help Ms A with moving a fridge freezer ❄️ outside so it's collected by the council.

We were both grateful 🙏 for the weather improvement, as just before the mission we were volunteering at local junior parkruns 🌳 and both acknowledged that today's morning was far from being warm. Wise Nick protected himself with 5 layers of clothing, Not-so-wise Gosia wrongly interpreted last weekend weather as an indicator for today's aura and paid her price.

We buzzed 🚪 at exactly 12:00 and were let in by Ms A. She welcomed and invited us in. Just before letting ourselves in, Nick made sure Gosia wipes her shoes 👟👟 very clearly and unambiguously instructed: "WIPE!!!" 😆. Ms A showed us the fridge that needs to be moved out - it was "waiting" for us in the kitchen. The glass shelves and compartments from the fridge were earlier taken out by Ms A and placed on a kitchen island just to make the it a bit easier to carry. Predicting that we about to break some sweat 🥵, we left some of our things in there 🎒🧥 and kicked off with the work.

First, we "walked" the fridge out of the flat, realising that - with an understandable relief 😅 - it's narrow enough to fit in the front door.

What turned out to be more challenging was taking it down the stairs. First level was all right but it was then very hard to make a turn and tackle the next level. Nick was strong 💪 and brave enough to take on almost an entire weight 🐘 of the fridge on himself as we were putting it from a vertical to a horizontal position directly on the stairs. Nothing else than a big respect 🫡 here!

We had much more space for tackling the last level of stairs and getting out of the main entrance. A nice caring collab 🙌 on the way and few minutes later we were placing the fridge in a designated place. It stayed leaning against a fence still giving a space for the passers-by.

We came back to Ms A to collect our things and also the remaining shelves and compartments.

Ms A was really grateful for the help and wanted to give us something as a way to say "thank you" 🎁. We didn't take anything of course and spent another couple of minutes letting her know about the help that GG could provide in the future. She mentioned installing blindfolds but it looked like requiring some power tools ⚡️ to use.

Before heading our ways we gave ourselves a one good fist pump 🤜🤛 for the job well done 🙂.
