Tilly (Southwark GoodGym, ex-Camden) arrived by bike.

John (Tower Hamlets GoodGym, ex-Camden) ran.

Ivy (always Tower Hamlets) got a train from Scotland (the day before).

All three spent two hours helping the St George the Martyr foodbank in Borough. Ivy used most of her time separating tomatoes from their vine, assisted for a while by John. All three unloaded deliveries, opened packaging, unpacked filled shelves, sealed hot food packages and even helped make mince pies.

The volunteers were grateful as ever for our assistance, and no doubt there'll be more opportunities for GoodGymers to help.

This task supported

The food cooperative provides members with low cost food to help reduce food bills and tackle food insecurity. It also reuses surplus food to prevent food being thrown away.
