Lovely to meet you today Robin. There were many elements to today's task as the 4 of us found when we arrived at the Social supermarket. Initially, the new donations needed sorting, cataloging and arranging on the shelves. Lil made my day by posing for the "I carried a watermelon" shot! Next, tables needed finding and moving of stock inside, easily done ready for sorting tomorrow. Then, we had two main tasks, making beds and 'laying' the beds. Robin set to creating beds from old pallets whilst Jackie, Lil and I moved leaves from the other side of the building, to lay in the already raised beds on top of cardboard that we had also laid. As this was done relatively quickly, we also managed to start weeding around the car park and turning the soil in new beds. These beds once completed will be used to grow to grow crops for use in the Social Supermarket.
