This was probably - no, definitely - no, probably, our last trip to the severed land .

(so called when the Greater London Council realigned the River Brent as part of a flood alleviation scheme in the 1980s and the new position cut through the Billets Hart allotments; as a consequence what had originally been the river bed became the Charity's land in exchange for the allotment land that had been lost)

We've spent a bunch of evenings here clearing the ground around young trees to give them access to light, rain and nutrients. And they're looking good on it! We are the clearing ground around trees GoodGym Jedi masters, yes, we are!

It's lovely to see the trees thrive. We can scoot along the Fitzherbert Walk footpath and admire the part we played in keeping this area looking good for years to come. Oh, and there were about a million ants trying to get us but we sheared on regardless!
